Product engineering, design, and development is not done in steps or stages. It is done in Phases.
The difference is a Phase can be customized or reordered according to the needs of the project and the client.
Since no two projects are exactly alike, we have created the Phased approach. Below are the Phases we have defined.

Phase Zero- Research

Some projects are too vaguely defined to begin engineering concept effort. We created a Phase Zero to help our clients do some research on what is feasible regarding their invention idea. We find this is an efficient use for time for those undefined projects. Not all projects need this phase.

Phase One Concept Trades

Phase one concept development is the start of product design. We do trade studies of current concepts to determine which is worthwhile.

This is the start of the real effort contributing to your end product design. While you may have the general concept defined in advance we still may want to do some trade studies and come up with a few viable concepts and direction to head. This gives you more insight into other ways of doing what you want.

Phase Two- Concept Selection

Now that we have several viable concepts, we must choose just one to pursue. In this phase we may create some conceptual CAD models or schematic diagrams so that we can start seeing what issues might crop up with one concept or another. From this we choose the best concept from Phase One to move forward.

The engineering design phase of product design.

Phase Three Engineering Design

This is the bulk of the engineering effort. Detailed CAD models and schematics are created and matured by our experienced engineering team.

Phase Four- Prototypes

Here is where we get our hands on the real thing, if only in prototype form. Prototypes are an essential element of any properly developed invention. Here we build and evaluate one or more prototypes, make corrections as desired, and prototype again until it's perfected. An iterative process with Phase Three.

Phase Four prototype testing and build to evaluate one or more prototypes until the design is perfected. This is an iterative process until perfected.

The manufacturing and production phase of product design.

Phase Five Production Manufacturing

Phase Five is the design for production manufacturing phase. Now your invention product design is ready to be optimized for lowest cost product production.

For any new consumer product we design, we now offer the income phase! This is where we inventory your consumer ready product, create an e-commerce website, and list it for sale on the major online retailer outlets. We list and fulfill orders from your website, Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, even Walmart!

Phase Six is the revenue stream phase. We can build your website, post your products and fulfill your orders on Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, and Walmart online stores.
